The first team currently play in the fifth tier of the English rugby union system Regional 1 North East following their relegation from National League 2 North at the end of the 2022–23 season. Axwell House
Axwell House (also Axwell Hall or Axwell Park) is a mansion house and Grade II* listed building, at Axwell Park, Blaydon, Tyne and Wear, England.
The house and surrounding estate were constructed in 1758 and owned by the Clavering baronets until 1920. The house became a school, but fell into disrepair in the 1980s. Houses have been built on the former stables and walled garden, and in 2020 there were plans to convert the house into apartments.

Derwenthaugh Coke Works
Derwenthaugh Coke Works was a coking plant on the River Derwent near Swalwell in Gateshead. The works were built in 1928 on the site of the Crowley's Iron Works, which had at one time been the largest iron works in Europe. The coke works was closed and demolished in the late 1980s, and replaced by Derwenthaugh Park.
