University Radio York (commonly known as URY) is a University Radio station covering the campuses of the University of York. It was the first legal independent radio station in the United Kingdom. Broadcasting from Vanbrugh College on the University's west campus, URY has won a number of awards from various organisations including the Student Radio Association of which it is a member.

Central Hall, University of York

Central Hall (colloquially known as "The Spaceship" for the similar appearance to a UFO) is a building of the University of York, England, designed by John Speight in the brutalist style. It was constructed in 1966–1968. The hall is seen as a tour de force of the university, appearing on merchandise and often used as a background for university publicity. It is Grade II listed.

University of York Library

The University of York Library is the library service for students and staff at the University of York, England. The current library physical premises comprise a series of three linked buildings to the north side of the University of York Heslington West campus. The buildings are also home to the Borthwick Institute for Archives. Since the library's inception its collections have grown to encompass more than a million items, including books, journals, music scores, theses and dissertations, and digital media. The Library is part of Library, Archives and Learning Services, which employs 168 staff, and which is in turn part of Student and Academic Services at the University of York.

York Student Television

York Student Television (abbreviated YSTV) is England's oldest student television station. Founded in 1967, the station is based at the University of York, with its studio in James College. YSTV once held the world record for longest continuous television broadcast under a single director, and is a long-standing member of the National Student Television Association (NaSTA). YSTV creates and produces a wide range of shows, both independently and in collaboration with other university societies. Recent shows include Tea Time Chat, a weekly magazine and politics show; YorKitchen, a cookery series; YSTV Sessions, an acoustic music show; various live coverage of on and off-campus events including extensive broadcasting of Roses 2017, and irregular reports on local events under the umbrella of YSTV Reports.
