Currie Community High School is a six-year comprehensive school serving the south-west of the City of Edinburgh, Scotland. The school roll currently stands at 727 of whom 20% attend as a result of parental placing requests. The school's feeder primary schools are Currie Primary School, Nether Currie Primary School and Juniper Green Primary School. Several Labour Party politicians have made visits, including former First Minister Henry McLeish, also more recently First Minister Jack McConnell, Sarah Boyack and David Miliband. It has also been visited by William Hague and Malcolm Rifkind. The school is a Community High School, offering classes, activities and events to the local community.

The present building opened in 1966 and was extensively refurbished between 1996 – 1998. a new high school building opened in August 2025 replacing the original building

Curriehill

Curriehill (Scots: Curriehull, Scottish Gaelic: Cnoc a' Churraich) is a suburb of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. It is north-west of Currie. Curriehill railway station is the western terminus of the Edinburgh Crossrail. These trains continue to Glasgow Central via West Lothian and North Lanarkshire. Curriehill Castle was a stronghold until the 16th century, and a seat of the Skene family. It faced over the Water of Leith to Lennox Tower.

Curriehill railway station

Curriehill railway station is located in Currie, a southwestern suburb of the city of Edinburgh, Scotland, not far from the main campus of Heriot-Watt University. It lies on the Shotts Line, which runs from Glasgow Central to Edinburgh Waverley by way of Shotts. The station has two platforms, connected by a stairway footbridge, and is equipped with CCTV. It is managed by ScotRail.

Currie railway station

Currie railway station was opened in 1874 and served the area of the village of Currie that now forms part of the city of Edinburgh. Although primarily built as a goods line to serve the many mills on the Water of Leith, a passenger service was provided by the Caledonian Railway using the Balerno Loop and after grouping by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway, seeing formal closure to passenger traffic shortly after nationalisation. The station was the largest on the 'loop' line and lay in rural surroundings and had once been popular with families having a day out in the country.

Currie, Edinburgh

Currie is a village and suburb on the outskirts of Edinburgh, Scotland, situated 7 miles (11 kilometres) south west of the city centre. Formerly within the County of Midlothian, it now falls within the jurisdiction of the City of Edinburgh Council. It is situated between Juniper Green to the northeast and Balerno to the southwest. It gives its name to a civil parish. In 2001, the population of Currie was 8,550 and it contained 3,454 houses.
