Hatfield & Stainforth railway station
Hatfield and Stainforth railway station serves the towns of Hatfield and Stainforth in South Yorkshire, England. It is located 6+3⁄4 miles (10.9 km) north east of the main Doncaster station. The original station, known until the 1990s as "Stainforth and Hatfield" and was built in 1866 as a replacement for the South Yorkshire Railway's Stainforth when their line was brought to its present alignment. The station was renamed Hatfield and Stainforth in the 1990s when it was considered that Hatfield was the larger of the two and had the larger population. The Doncaster Core Strategy includes support for "refurbishment of the railway station and the creation of a rail/bus/park and ride interchange".

It is split between the Doncaster Central and North constituencies. In 2011 it had a population of 9,695. The ward was formed in 2015.

Doncaster Greyhound Stadium
Doncaster Greyhound Stadium is a greyhound racing track located in Stainforth, near Doncaster, England.
It is sometimes referred to as Meadow Court Stadium and was previously known as Stainforth Stadium. It is not to be confused with the former Doncaster Greyhound Track that existed near the York Road.
The stadium has executive suites, a restaurant, a number of bars and fast food areas. Racing takes place every Monday and Wednesday night, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.

Hatfield Colliery
Hatfield Colliery, also known as Hatfield Main Colliery, was a colliery in the South Yorkshire Coalfield, mining the High Hazel coal seam. The colliery was around 1 mile (1.6 km) northwest of Hatfield, South Yorkshire, adjacent north of the railway line from Doncaster to Scunthorpe (former South Yorkshire Railway, or Barnsley to Barnetby Line) northeast of Hatfield and Stainforth railway station.
The colliery opened in 1916. The pit was stopped in 2001, and restarted 2007; the mine passed through a number of different owners in the early part of the 21st century, with subsequent operators entering receivership. During the same period the site was proposed as the location for high-technology coal burning power stations schemes which did not proceed.
In 2013 the major Doncaster-Thorne railway line which connected South Yorkshire to the Humber ports and Scunthorpe was blocked by a landslip at the colliery spoil for around 6 months.
From late 2013 the mine was employee owned by the 'Hatfield Colliery Partnership Limited'. Due to lack of demand for coal products the colliery shut down at the end of June 2015.

Stainforth () is a town and civil parish in the City of Doncaster, in South Yorkshire, England. It is around 7 miles (11 km) north-east of Doncaster, close to Hatfield and Thorne. It had a population of 6,342 in the 2001 census, reducing slightly to 6,282 at the 2011 census.
