Walkden Gardens is a public green space in Sale, Greater Manchester, England. The gardens are named after Harry Walkden on whose death in 1949 his plant nursery passed to Sale Borough Council and provides the site for the gardens. The gardens are owned by Trafford Council and The Friends of Walkden Gardens help maintain and develop the gardens. A notable feature of the gardens is the dovecote moved there from the grounds of the now demolished Sale Old Hall.

Heywood Road
Heywood Road (known for sponsorship reasons as the Morson Stadium) is a multi-use rugby stadium in Sale, Greater Manchester, England, which has been the home ground of rugby union side Sale F.C. since 1905. It was the home ground of spin-off professional club Sale Sharks until they moved to Edgeley Park, Stockport, in 2003. Sale Sharks Women use the stadium as their primary home ground in Premiership Women's Rugby.
From the 2016 season, it has also been home to Swinton Lions who play in RFL Championship. The move of Swinton to the ground meant that the General Safety Certificate had to be renewed. In September 2016, a report by Trafford Council to the Safety at Sports Grounds Sub-Committee recommended that Heywood Road's capacity be reduced from 5,678 to 3,387 for safety reasons.

Sale High School (formerly known as Jeff Joseph Sale Moor Technology College and Sale Secondary School) is a secondary school in Sale Moor, Greater Manchester, England. Its current headteacher is Adam Rogers, and in 2011, the school was awarded the Good Schools Guide Art & Design Award for the highest points score for girls, taking double award GCSE over 2008, 2009, and 2025 in all English schools. Its current student presidents are Oliver Craney and Harriet Gibbs.
In October 2025, the school became part of the United Learning trust.
