Butler Green is a residential area in the town of Chadderton in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester. The area is also commonly known as Washbrook. Located in the south east of the town, Butler Green forms a contiguous urban area with Coalshaw Green, Whitegate, Nimble Nook, Block Lane and Hollinwood. Hollinwood Rugby League Club are based at Butler Green on Melrose Fields, the site of the former Melrose Mill.

South Chadderton is a Manchester Metrolink tram stop in Coalshaw Green, Chadderton, Oldham. It is on the Oldham and Rochdale Line and in fare zone 3. This stop was opened on 13 June 2012 as part of Phase 3a of the system's expansion and it has step-free access. It is located at street-level, and is near to Coalshaw Green Park. It was also purpose-built for Metrolink on the route of the former Oldham Loop Line: the tram stop itself is not a converted railway station unlike some other tram stops along the Oldham and Rochdale Line.

Coalshaw Green

Coalshaw Green is a locality in the town of Chadderton in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester. Lying 1.8 miles south of Chadderton town centre, Coalshaw Green was formerly an archaic hamlet located in the south east of the township around the junction of Turf Lane and Drury Lane, and forms a contiguous urban area with Butler Green, Whitegate and Hollinwood. Coalshaw Green Park, which opened in 1911, is Chadderton's oldest public park. It comprises a formal park and, until 2017, adjoining playing fields which has now become a suburban housing development. The Chadderton Cricket & Bowling Club, known locally as 'The Big Cot', is a long-standing social club in the area. Coalshaw Green is also the location of South Chadderton Metrolink station.

Nimble Nook is a locality in the town of Chadderton in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester. Nimble Nook lies 1.3 miles south west of Chadderton's modern commercial centre on Middleton Road and is located around the junction of Denton Lane and Foxdenton Lane. The arterial road Broadway (A663), constructed in 1925, bisects the area from north to south. Nimble Nook is contiguous with other areas of Chadderton - Butler Green, Whitegate and Cowhill with semi-rural Foxdenton to the west.
