Ford Green Hall

Ford Green Hall is a Grade II* listed farmhouse and historic house museum in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. The oldest parts of the house date from the late 16th century, with one wing being either added or greatly repaired at some point in the early 18th century. In its grounds, there also stands an 18th-century dovecote which shares the listed building status of the main farmhouse. The house stands on land adjacent to the B5051 minor road in the east of Smallthorne. Originally, it stood in 36 acres (150,000 m2) of farmland, but this has been gradually encroached upon over the years so that now it is surrounded by comparatively small grounds. Beyond its grounds there is now housing and a nature reserve. Journalists often confuse the Hall with the arson-hit Ford Green House. The House is the city's oldest home and also in Smallthorne, but it is not the same as the Hall.

Smallthorne borders Bradeley and Chell in the north, Norton-in-the-Moors in the east, Sneyd Green in the south, and Burslem in the west.

Norton United F.C.

Norton United F.C. was a football club based in Smallthorne, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. They were established in 1989 and joined the Staffordshire Senior League in the same year. They were the Midland League champions three times, North West Counties Football League champions in 2013–14, and were promoted to be members of the Northern Premier League Division One South. On 9 April 2015 it was announced that Norton United would resign from the Northern Premier League at the end of the season and fold. The club's ground was the Norton Cricket Club & Miners Welfare Institute; however' they left that ground mid season due to contractual issues with the owners and played their remaining fixtures at Lyme Valley Stadium, home of Newcastle Town.. They played in black and red striped shirts, black shorts and black socks.
