El Mouradia

El Mouradia, anciennement La Redoute, est une commune de la wilaya d'Alger en Algérie, faisant partie de la ville d'Alger. C'est ici que se trouve la présidence de la République, le palais d'El Mouradia.

El Mouradia est située sur les hauteurs d'Alger, à environ 4 km au sud du centre-ville. On surnomme cette partie de la ville « le Golf ».

Le nom d'El Mouradia se rapporte à un personnage historique natif des lieux connu pendant la guerre de libération algérienne, à savoir le militant nationaliste algérien Didouche Mourad. Ex-La Redoute, ce nom abrégé de « Le quartier des redoutables » se rapporte au nombre de révolutionnaires issus de ce quartier pendant la guerre d'Algérie.[réf. souhaitée]

Public Establishment of Television (Arabic: المؤسّسة العمومية للتلفزيون, French: Établissement public de télévision ), abbreviated as EPTV, is a state-owned company that manages the activity of television in Algeria, going from production to broadcasting. Its municipal code is 1627 and postal code is 16035 and it has a population of 29,503 as of the 1998 census, which gives it 11 seats in the PMA. The Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have their head offices in El Mouradia, as does the Embassy of Finland. El Mouradia Palace is the Algerian president's office.
