Heerlerbaan (Limburgish: Heëlebaan) is a former Dutch village located in the commune of Heerlen, in the province of Dutch Limburg. On 1 January 2008, the area, including the former village had 9872 inhabitants.

Parkstad Limburg Stadion

The Parkstad Limburg Stadion (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈpɑr(ə)kstɑt ˈlɪmbʏr(ə)x ˌstaːdijɔn], Ripuarian: [ˈpɑʁəkʃtɑt ˈlembøʁəç ˌʃtaːdijɔn]) is a football stadium in Kerkrade, completed in 2000. With a present-day capacity of 19,979 seats, the stadium was officially opened on 15 August 2000 with a friendly between Roda JC and Real Zaragoza (2–2). It is the home stadium of the football club Roda JC Kerkrade from the Netherlands. In 2005 the Parkstad Limburg Stadion hosted the opening match and the semi-finals of the FIFA World Youth Championship Netherlands 2005.

Pinkpop Festival

Pinkpop is an annual music festival held in Landgraaf, Netherlands. It is currently the longest-running continuous annual pop music festival in the world. It is usually held on the Pentecost weekend ("Pinksteren" in Dutch, hence the name). If Pentecost falls on an early date in May, the festival is held later in June. The festival began in 1970 and has been held at Megaland, a 27-hectare site, since 1988. The festival started in 1970 at Burgemeester Damen Sportpark in Geleen. It has been a three-day festival since 1996, with a capacity of 60,000 people per day and performances on four separate stages. From 2006 through 2011, Pinkpop sold out six years in a row. During 44 editions, more than two million people have attended Pinkpop. Some 700 music acts have played at the festival. The Guinness World Records book names Pinkpop as the longest-running continuous annual pop music festival. The Reading Festival, first held in 1961, holds the record for being the oldest annual pop festival, but as its 1984–85 editions were cancelled by a local council ban, Pinkpop maintains the longest consecutive record.

Staatsmijn Wilhelmina

The Staatsmijn Wilhelmina was the first and the smallest of the Dutch state owned mines. It produced coal for domestic use, as its near neighbours, the Laura Mine, Oranje Nassau II, Willem-Sophia, and Domaniale Mijn. The concession of the mine was bordered by the privately owned mines mentioned above. After a few decades the mine could not be extended sideways, so the only way to keep production up was going deeper, this in contrast to the large Emma, Hendrik and Maurits mines.

Roda JC (women)

Roda JC Vrouwen was the women's football section of Roda JC football club from Kerkrade, Netherlands. They wanted to join the Women's Eredivisie the year it was formed but did not receive permission by the KNVB. On 1 March 2008, Roda JC announced that the next season they would join the 2008-09 season. In May 2009, Roda JC announced they would fold the women's section after one season, for financial reasons. The team finished in last place in its only Eredivisie season. Roda JC worked together with RKTSV from Kerkrade.
