Liverpool Life Sciences UTC, more commonly known as The UTC is a university technical college (UTC) which opened in September 2013 in Liverpool, England. The UTC is located in the Baltic Triangle, in the former Contemporary Urban Centre (CUC), a restored Victorian-era warehouse, which it shares with The Studio School Liverpool.

The Studio School Liverpool
The Studio School Liverpool (simply referred to as The Studio) is a 14–19 mixed, studio school and sixth form in Liverpool, Merseyside, England. It was established in September 2013 and is part of the Northern Schools Trust. It can be considered a sister school to Liverpool Life Sciences UTC which is run by the same trust and shares the same section of the former Contemporary Urban Centre, a restored Victorian-era warehouse in the Baltic Triangle.

Baltic Triangle
The Baltic Triangle is an area of Liverpool city centre defined by Liverpool City Council as the triangular portion of the city bounded by Liver Street, Park Lane, St James Street, Hill Street, Sefton Street and Wapping.
In 2020, the area was home to over 500 businesses employing more than 3,000 people, hundreds of which are in the creative and digital sectors. The district has been nationally and internationally recognised for its bohemian character which includes independent markets, beer gardens, music venues, art spaces, workshops and design studios which coexist alongside tech businesses and new housing developments for students and young professionals.

Cains Brewery
Cains was a brewery in Liverpool, England, founded in 1858 by Robert Cain. The company merged with Peter Walker & Son in 1921 to form Walker Cains. Peter Walker & Son had a large brewery in Warrington so sold its Liverpool brewery to Higsons in 1923. Boddingtons of Manchester took over in 1985. In 1990, Whitbread acquired Boddington's brewing operations and closed the brewery. It was reopened by GB Breweries, who became part of Bryggerigruppen in 1991, and in 2002 was sold to Gardener-Shaw for £3.4 million.
In 2013 debts exceeding £8m led to the brewery's closure.
