El Harrach (Berber: ⵍⵃⴻⵔⵔⴰⵛ Arabic: الـحرّاش, formerly Maison-Carrée) is a suburb of the Algerian capital Algiers. The town is home to USM El Harrach football club and the Higher National Veterinary School is located in the area.

Higher National Agronomic School

Higher National Agronomic School (French: École Nationale Supérieure Agronomique, Acronym: ENSA ) or (Arabic: المدرسة الوطنية العليا للفلاحة) previously known as the National Institute of Agronomic (I.N.A) is the only school that trains Agricultural engineers in Algeria and offers training, research and expertise, based on the specialities of the research teams: Food, Sustainable Agriculture, Biotechnology, Environment and Territories. Students have the opportunity to prepare for an Engineer's degree in Agricultural Sciences (equivalent to a master's degree). ENSA is the oldest higher education institution founded in 1905 which is located in (El Harrach, Algiers). ENSA is officially accredited/recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Algeria (French: Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche Scientifique). The Higher National Agronomic School (ENSA) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as State Engineer's degrees (French: Diplome d'Ingénieur d'État), master's degrees, doctorate degrees.

National Polytechnic School (Algeria)

The National Polytechnic School or École Nationale Polytechnique (ENP) is an engineering school founded in 1925. The architectural diversity of the buildings reflects the different extensions and enlargements of the areas of expertise, teachings and research. A common misconception is to call the school the National Polytechnic School of Algiers while its official name is the National Polytechnic School abbreviated in French as ENP. The school was created in 1925 under the name of "Institut industriel d'Algérie", the aim of this establishment was to train senior technicians for large public services and industrial and public works companies. After the Second World War a training of aeronautical technicians in North Africa was created the ENPA, National Professional School of the Air by General Martin whose alumni continue to maintain a historical site and memory. Closed because of the Second World War, the school was reopened under the name École nationale d'ingénieurs d'Algérie. In 1962, the ENP hosted the first meetings of the provisional government of Algeria. After independence, it was transformed into the National Polytechnic School by the ministerial decree of June 25, 1963.

The Higher National Veterinary School (French: École nationale supérieure vétérinaire, ENSV, Arabic:المدرسة الوطنية العليا للطب البيطري), is a public institution of higher learning founded in Algeria in 1970, by Presidential Decree No. 65-69 of March 11, 1965. It is located in Hacène Badi - El Harrach 12 km east of Algiers.
