Roseburn est une banlieue d'Édimbourg en Écosse.

1. Géographie

Le quartier se situe à l'ouest de la ville, à environ 20 minutes à pied du centre-ville, à l'ouest de Haymarket et à proximité du quartier de Murrayfield (et du Murrayfield Stadium). Il est également situé immédiatement au sud de l'A8. La rivière Water of Leith coule le long d'un côté du parc Roseburn, près de la Water of Leith Walkway (en). Le parc est également délimité par le stade et la patinoire de Murrayfield. Le parc accueille des matchs de football en hiver et de cricket en été. Il dispose d'une petite aire de jeux appréciée des enfants d'âge préscolaire et des jeunes enfants. L'école primaire Roseburn propose un enseignement aux enfants de la maternelle à la 7e année. Le bâtiment principal, victorien est classé monument historique.

Roseburn

Roseburn is a suburb of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. The area lies in the west of the city, approximately a 20-minute walk from the city centre, west of Haymarket and close to the Murrayfield area (and Murrayfield Stadium). It is immediately to the south of the A8 road. The Water of Leith flows along one side of Roseburn Park next to the Water of Leith Walkway. Other boundaries to the park are Murrayfield Stadium and Murrayfield Ice Rink. The park is used for football in the winter and cricket in the summer. It has a small play area popular with pre-school and young children. The park is popular with dog walkers. Roseburn Primary School offers education for children from Nursery to Primary 7. The main building is Victorian and has listed building status. St George's School is the only all girls independent school in Edinburgh. It is situated in the Ravelston district of Edinburgh, Scotland. In 2018 the school celebrated the 130th anniversary of its founding in 1888. In 2021 the school updated its name to St George’s School, Edinburgh.
