Ribston Hall

Ribston Hall est un manoir de campagne privé du XVIIe siècle situé sur les rives de la rivière Nidd, à Great Ribston, près de Knaresborough, Yorkshire du Nord, Angleterre. Ribston Preceptory

Ribston Preceptory was a priory just east of the village of Little Ribston, in North Yorkshire, England on the east bank of the River Nidd. The preceptory at Ribston was founded in 1217, when Robert de Ros donated the land and advowson of Ribston to the Knights Templar. When the Knights Templar were suppressed between 1308 and 1312, the preceptory at Ribston was granted to the Knights Hospitaller. They held it until the Dissolution in 1540, but by this point they had mostly abandoned it and it was being worked by Lay farmers. In 1674, the now grade II* listed Ribston Hall was erected on the site, however a 13th-century chapel which adjoins the hall survives.

Ribston Hall is a privately owned 17th-century country mansion situated on the banks of the River Nidd, at Great Ribston, near Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, England. It is a Grade II* listed building. The two-storey mansion presents an impressive fifteen-bay entrance front to the north east. The adjoining chapel is said to contain traces of 13th-century masonry.

Little Ribston

Little Ribston is a village and civil parish in the county of North Yorkshire, England. Little Ribston is located on the River Nidd, 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Wetherby and 3 miles (4.8 km) south-east of Knaresborough. The Ribston Pippin apple originated here when Sir Henry Goodricke planted the first seed brought from Normandy in the 18th century and a stump of a later tree is still preserved in Ribston park. There were several inns or licensed premises in the village in previous times, though none remain today. The nearest pub to Little Ribston is The Bay Horse in Kirk Deighton. Little Ribston has two cricket teams in the Nidderdale league and Harrogate evening league. They are based in Ribston Park, Little Ribston, halfway between Knaresborough and Wetherby.

Crimple Beck

Crimple Beck or the River Crimple is a beck which flows through North Yorkshire, England. It is a tributary of the River Nidd which it joins between Little Ribston and Walshford north of Wetherby. The beck is 15.5 miles (24.9 km) long, and has a total catchment area of 80 square kilometres (31 sq mi), which drains the area around Harrogate. Its tributaries include the Park Beck.

North Deighton

North Deighton is a village and civil parish in the county of North Yorkshire, England. It is near the A1(M) motorway and the A168 road and is 1.9 miles (3 km) north-west of Wetherby. The B6164 road runs through the village between Knaresborough and Wetherby with a minor road heading south-west towards Spofforth. The population of the civil parish was estimated by North Yorkshire County Council at 80 in 2014.
