Sidi Yahia
Sidi Yahia est un quartier situé dans la commune d'Hydra dans la wilaya d'Alger. Il est limité au nord par la cité Sonatrach, au sud par Bir Mourad Rais, à l'est par Hydra et à l'ouest par Said Hamdine. Il est éloigné de 3,7 km d'Alger. Il tire son nom d'un célèbre marabout du nom de Sidi « Yahia Ettiar » auquel on a donné son nom à une mosquée dans ce quartier de Hydra. Un livre datant de 1860 d'Albert Delvoux le cite dans sa page 265[source insuffisante].

It is regarded as one of the wealthiest and most powerful neighborhoods in the nation and is situated atop the capital's heights. The commune was created as a "garden city" during the French colonial era in order to provide a calm, elevated escape from the crowded lower Algiers Casbah and port areas. Hydra is an important commercial and economic hub in addition to being a desirable place to live. Many national and international companies, especially those in the energy, telecommunications, and finance industries, have their headquarters there. The area is also well-known for its lively, affluent way of life, with a high concentration of upscale shops, fine dining establishments, and hip cafes, especially in the vicinity of the Place de Hydra and the Sidi Yahia boulevard. Hydra retains its unique architectural character despite its quick modernization, striking a balance between the growth of modern glass-fronted office buildings and the preservation of its traditional white-washed villas.
