Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine
The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) is a post-graduate teaching and research institution based in Liverpool, England, established in 1898. It was the first institution in the world dedicated to the study of tropical medicine. LSTM conducts research in areas such as malaria and insect-borne diseases and operates as a higher education institution with degree-awarding powers.
LSTM is also a registered charity, with a research portfolio exceeding £220 million, supported by funding from organizations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Wellcome Trust. In partnership with the University of Liverpool, LSTM co-founded the Centre of Excellence in Infectious Diseases Research (CEIDR), which focuses on improving global healthcare and medical technologies.

Galkoff's, Liverpool
Galkoff's was a kosher butcher shop in Liverpool during the early and mid-20th century. Its location at 29 Pembroke Place, Liverpool L3 was at the then heart of the Jewish community in the city. Whilst the shop ceased trading in 1979 and the site is now derelict, the site was Grade II listed in April 2007 in recognition of its significance to Liverpool's Jewish community and for the elegance of its tiled exterior. The building is further protected by a hoarding which has a mural, designed by local artist Donna Berry and executed by the children of King David School, depicting scenes of the life of Liverpool's Jewish community.

Royal Liverpool University Hospital
Royal Liverpool University Hospital (RLUH) is a major teaching and research hospital located in the city of Liverpool, England. It is the largest and busiest hospital in Merseyside.
A major redevelopment of the hospital began in 2013 and was scheduled for completion in 2017, but construction problems and the 2018 collapse of main contractor Carillion meant it did not open until late 2022.
The hospital is part of NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group and is associated with the University of Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores University and the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
