Bingley St Ives

Bingley St. Ives, or St. Ives Estate is a 550-acre (2.2 km2) country park and former estate between Bingley and Harden in West Yorkshire, England now owned by Bradford Council. The park has Grade II listing in the English Heritage National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens of Special Interest. The park has been given Accredited Country Park status by Natural England. As well as being a public country park the property is also used by Bingley St Ives Golf Club, the Sports Turf Research Institute, Bradford Independent Care Group, Bingley Angling Club, and Aire Valley Archers. Some 300,000 people per year visit the country park.

STRI Group

STRI Group (formerly the Sports Turf Research Institute) is headquartered at a 10 hectares (25 acres) research site on the St Ives Estate near Bingley, UK. The Sports Turf Research Institute was originally established in 1929 as The Board of Greenkeeping, with a grant of £303 from The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews. This was only the second greenkeeping research station in the world and was founded as a non-profit trust. Post World War II, the business changed its name to the Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI), allowing for more formal research and consultancy practices into all types of natural turf sport surfaces.

Bradford Pennine Gateway is a national nature reserve (NNR) around Bradford in West Yorkshire, England. The site covers an area of 1,274 hectares (3,150 acres) around northern Bradford, in Haworth, Harden, Bingley, Baildon, Shipley, and Ilkley. It is the first national nature reserve in West Yorkshire, and one promoted as part of King Charles' "King's Series" of national nature reserves.
