Carrington Moss
Carrington Moss is a large area of peat bog near Carrington, Greater Manchester, England, south of the River Mersey, 10 miles (16 km) south-west of Manchester. It occupies an area of about 1,100 acres (450 ha). The depth of peat varies between 17 and 20 feet (5.2 and 6.1 m).
Originally an unused area of grouse moorland, the moss was reclaimed in the latter half of the 19th century for farming and the disposal of Manchester's waste. A system of tramways was built to connect it with the Manchester Ship Canal and a nearby railway line. In the Second World War, the land was used as a Starfish site and in the latter half of the 20th century a large industrial complex was built along its northern edge. More recently, several sporting facilities have been built on Carrington Moss.
The land is still used for farming and several nature reserves have been established within its bounds. Parts of Carrington Moss are accessible to the public over several rights of way.

St George's Church, Carrington
St George's Church is in the village of Carrington, Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, but is now redundant and in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. It stands in a relatively isolated position south of the Manchester Ship Canal, along the northern edge of the Carrington Moss industrial estate.

Carrington Training Centre
Carrington Training Centre, sometimes referred to as Carrington, was the training ground of EFL League Two club Bury, leased from Manchester City.
The League Two club moved into this complex in early 2015 when previous holders, Manchester City moved into a new £50 million training facility close to its Sportcity home in east Manchester.
In 2020 Sale Sharks Rugby Union Team would become the new tenants of the ground, moving from their previous facility also based in Carrington.

Carrington Power Station
Carrington Power Station is a combined cycle gas turbine power station, which was completed in Autumn 2016 and began commercial operation on 18 September 2016. It is located on the site of a former coal-fired power station, close to the villages of Carrington and Partington in the Greater Manchester Area and 12 km (7.5 mi) southwest of Manchester City Centre. The Manchester Ship Canal and the River Mersey run alongside the site, in Trafford, Greater Manchester, in North West England.
