Whitegate, Greater Manchester
Whitegate is an industrial and residential district of the town of Chadderton in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester, England.
Lying along the course of the Rochdale Canal, Whitegate is located in the south of Chadderton, contiguous with the Nimble Nook, Butler Green, Coalshaw Green and Hollinwood areas of the town and New Moston in the City of Manchester which lies to the south.
Whitegate is bisected from east to west by the M60 motorway with a junction (21) at the A663 (Broadway) which bisects the area from north to south, close to the Boat And Horses public house.
A small recreation ground, Princess Park, serves the area. Its facilities include a multi purpose games area and children's playground.
Oldham Broadway Business Park is located in this district, lying alongside the Rochdale Canal through the Slacks Valley between Whitegate and Middleton Junction.

Greengate, Greater Manchester
Greengate is an industrial district in the town of Chadderton in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester.
It is located in the south west of Chadderton, close to the town's common borders with Middleton to the west and Moston in the City of Manchester which lies to the south.
For postal purposes Greengate lies within the Manchester postal district (M24, Middleton).
British aircraft manufacturer Avro, later BAE Chadderton, built a factory at Greengate in 1938–39. It was one of the largest employers in the area. The BAE factory was closed in 2012 and purchased later that year by NOV (formerly National Oilwell Varco), an American multinational working in oil and gas.

Ace Mill, Hollinwood
Ace Mill is a cotton spinning mill in Chadderton in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester. It was built as Gorse No. 2 Mill, in 1914 and cotton was first spun in 1919 by the Ace Mill Ltd, who renamed the mill. It was taken over by the Lancashire Cotton Corporation in the 1930s and passed to Courtaulds in 1964. Production ended in 1967.
Although known as Ace Mill, Hollinwood (due to Hollinwood being the closest serving railway station), the mill is located in the Whitegate area of south Chadderton around a mile away from Hollinwood.
The five-storey mill has a floor area of 38,500 sq ft (3,580 m2). It is now used as a warehouse. It was powered by a 2500 hp cross compound engine (Mary and Elizabeth) by Urmson and Thompson built in 1920. It had a 26 ft (7.9 m) flywheel with 42 ropes that ran at 64rpm.

Foxdenton
Foxdenton is a semi rural locality in Chadderton in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester.
It is located in the west of Chadderton. Middleton Junction lies to the west with Nimble Nook to the east.
It is the location of the manorial Foxdenton Hall and its grounds, Foxdenton Park.
There were several working farms remaining in Foxdenton until the late 2010s. The commencement of the Broadway Green housing development will, however, see the area become more suburban in character. The farmhouse at Foxdenton Farm is a grade II listed building.
Early 19th century gazetteers described Foxdenton as a village in the township of Chadderton.
