Cottingley railway station serves the Cottingley and Churwell areas of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It lies 3 miles (5 km) south west of Leeds on the Huddersfield Line. It is the nearest railway station to Leeds United F.C.'s Elland Road stadium. White Rose railway station is planned 820 yards (750 m) south of Cottingley station, and is currently under construction, and following a review, West Yorkshire Combined Authority has decided that Cottingley station will subsequently close on the grounds of its inaccessibility and that White Rose station will be better connected to businesses and places of education.

Cottingley Towers and Cottingley Heights

Cottingley Towers & Cottingley Heights are twin high-rise towers of rented-flat accommodation on top of a hill in Cottingley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Cottingley Towers & Cottingley Heights were previously the tallest residential buildings in Leeds, with 25 floors each. The towers are 72 metres (236 ft) tall but are not classed as skyscrapers. They were built between 1971-2 and were refurbished in 1989. The towers were once heralded as the tallest residential buildings in Europe. Much has been done to address crime in the area and levels of crime have subsided notably over the past 10 years. When built, it was decided not to put a flat number 13 in either block as some regard 13 to be unlucky, and this was also the first time buildings of this design had been constructed. The Towers and Heights fall within the Beeston and Holbeck ward of the Leeds City Council.

Churwell is a settlement in the civil parish of Morley, in the Leeds district, in West Yorkshire, England, between Leeds city centre and Morley. It is 3 miles (5 km) south-west of Leeds city centre and 1.5 miles (2 km) away from the Leeds United stadium Elland Road. Churwell still retains its semi-rural feel with farms nearby cultivating, in particular, vegetables and rhubarb.
