Knowsley Safari Park
Knowsley Safari is a safari park and tourist attraction in Prescot, Merseyside, England. It is a member of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA) and the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA). It contributes to conservation and research through links with conservation projects and its links with universities in nearby Liverpool, as well as Chester and Manchester. The Channel 4 series Secret Life of the Safari Park was filmed here.

Prescot reservoirs
In 1857 two small holding reservoirs were built in Prescot to receive water from the Rivington reservoirs. These held sufficient water to supply Liverpool for two days. In 1892 water from Lake Vyrnwy supplemented the water stored in Prescot. Four smaller reservoirs were built with a capacity of 200 million gallons, sufficient to supply Liverpool for four days.
Today, so much water is abstracted from Rivington for use in Lancashire that the flow is reversed and water from Vyrnwy is used to supply towns in Lancashire.

The Prescot School
The Prescot School is a coeducational secondary school located in Prescot, Merseyside, England. It was previously called Prescot Grammar School. It was announced in late 2015 by the headteacher, Judy Walker, that the historic name and the link to the school's near half-millennium of tradition (which had been altered between 2009 and 2015 by the local authority) was being restored as a consequence of a successful application by the school for academy status. The official opening of the reformed school was on 28 April.
The main historical source is local historian F. A. Bailey's 40 page pamphlet published to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the school in 1944 and reissued in 1971 under the title PGS 1544 - 1971 with postscripts by G. Dixon and the then headmaster, J. C. S. Weekes.

Prescot Cables F.C.
Prescot Cables Football Club is a supporter-owned football club based in Prescot, Merseyside. It was established in 1884 and has also been known as Prescot and Prescot Town. They compete in the Northern Premier League Premier Division and play their home games at Valerie Park. They are a member of the Liverpool County Football Association.
The "Cables" in their name came from the largest local employer in Prescot, British Insulated Cables, which was founded in 1890 as the British Insulated Wire Company, and later became part of British Insulated Callender's Cables. Prescot Wire Works were founder members of the Liverpool County Football Combination league and were runners three times in the years leading up to the First World War.

Valerie Park
The Joseph Russell Stadium, traditionally known as Hope Street, is a stadium in Prescot, Merseyside. It is located on Eaton Street in the Metropolitan Borough of Knowsley. It is home to Prescot Cables of the Northern Premier League. A.F.C. Liverpool of the North West Counties Football League shared the ground from 2008 until 2014. Skelmersdale United shared the ground in the 2018/19 Northern Premier League season.
At the start of the 2016–17 season the ground was renamed Volair Park following on from the signing of a 3-year grounds rights deal with local leisure services provider Volair. The club were granted a 99-year lease from Knowsley council in 2019. In November 2019 the club signed a stadium rights deal with IP Truck Parts, as part of the deal the stadium for the 2019 season will be known as the IP Truck Parts Stadium. Located about just over half a mile from Prescot railway station, the capacity is 2,070.
