Burley Park railway station

Burley Park railway station in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, is the first stop on the Harrogate line, 2.25 miles (3.6 km) north-west of Leeds railway station towards Harrogate and York. The station was opened on 28 November 1988 by British Rail. The line is heavily used by commuters into Leeds. It is also near the Headingley Stadium for rugby and cricket fans when Headingley station is busy. It is near to the districts of Burley, Hyde Park and the southern end of Headingley. The journey time to Headingley station is 2 minutes, and around 5 minutes to Leeds station, which is typically much faster than driving or taking the bus. This station is near to main bus routes on Cardigan Road, Burley Road and Kirkstall Road, and parking is limited to the surrounding streets. The station occasionally plays the role of Hotten railway station in the TV series Emmerdale.

St Margaret of Antioch Church, Leeds

The former St Margaret of Antioch's Church building is situated on Cardigan Road, Headingley, West Yorkshire, England, near Burley Park railway station. It is an example of Late Gothic Revival church architecture, and it was built in the first few years of the twentieth century, being consecrated in 1909. It was built in the Parish of Burley to serve the population of the newly built red-brick terrace houses in the area, part of the late Victorian expansion of Leeds. Whilst a functioning Anglican Church, it had an Anglo-Catholic flavour. It is a Grade II* listed building, and was designed by Temple Moore. It was rescued from dereliction by a group of local Christians who turned it into an arts and creative space called Left Bank Leeds.

Hyde Park, Leeds

Hyde Park is an inner-city residential area of north-west Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, situated between the University of Leeds and Headingley. It sits in the Headingley and Hyde Park ward of Leeds City Council. The area is in the centre of the city's student community, being next to Headingley, another large student community. There are also many full-time, long-term, non-student families and single people, and a sizable South Asian community. Before the dense speculative developments of red brick terraced housing in the late Victorian era, the area was the site of the Leeds Royal Park pleasure ground, quarries, and fields in the estate of the Earl of Cardigan. The Hyde Park name was extended to the new neighbourhoods from Hyde Park Corner on the A660, with that nucleus historically being known as Wrangthorn.

Headingley Bear Pit

Headingley Bear Pit is a Grade II listed building (officially listed as The Old Bear Pit) in Headingley, Leeds, England. It was formerly part of Leeds Zoological and Botanical Gardens, which closed in 1858.
