Harplands Hospital
Harplands Hospital is a mental health facility in Stoke-on-Trent operated by the North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust.
1. History
The hospital replaced the existing Victorian mental health facilities in the area. It was designed by TPS Consult, built by Carillion under a PFI contract and was completed in 2001. The clinical commissioning for the hospital, which provides 150 beds, was carried out by United Medical Enterprises. The hospital provides treatment for a variety of mental health issues including bipolar disorder.

Thistley Hough Academy
Thistley Hough Academy is a coeducational secondary school located in the village of Penkhull in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. The school was built in 1938 as a girls' grammar school, housed in a classical Art Deco building. The old building has since been demolished and a new £15,000,000 school has been constructed. In September 2011, the new building's opening ceremony took place. The new building was opened in May 2013 by the Chairman of Stoke City Football Club, Peter Coates.
