Dalmuir

Dalmuir (en gaélique écossais : Dail Mhoire) est une zone située à neuf miles au nord-ouest de Glasgow, en Écosse, sur le côté ouest de Clydebank, et une partie de West Dunbartonshire Council Area. Le nom est un dérivé écossais du gaélique des lowlands signifiant « Grand champ ». La région était à l’origine deux villages séparés, Dalmuir Shore (uni à Clydebank en 1886) et Dalmuir Village (rattaché en 1906), au cours d’une période d’industrialisation rapide et d’expansion. Dalmuir est délimité par le village de Old Kilpatrick à l’ouest, les lotissements résidentiels de Mountblow et Parkhall au nord, et la zone du centre-ville de Clydebank à l’est. Au sud se trouve la rivière Clyde.

Dalmuir (; Scottish Gaelic: Dail Mhoire) is an area nine miles (fourteen kilometres) northwest of Glasgow, Scotland, on the western side of Clydebank, and part of West Dunbartonshire Council Area. The name is a lowland Scots derivation of the Gaelic meaning Big Field. The area was originally two separate villages with Dalmuir Shore joining with Clydebank in 1886 and Dalmuir Village in 1906, during a period of rapid industrialisation and expansion. Dalmuir is bounded by the village of Old Kilpatrick to the west, the Mountblow and Parkhall housing schemes to the north, and the Clydebank town centre area to the east. To the south is the River Clyde.

Dalmuir railway station

Dalmuir railway station is a railway station serving the Dalmuir area of Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, Scotland. It is a large, five-platform interchange between the Argyle Line, North Clyde Line and West Highland Line, between Singer and Clydebank (both to the south-east) and Kilpatrick (to the north-west). It is situated 9 miles 71 chains (15.9 km) from Glasgow Queen Street, measured via Westerton and Maryhill.

Golden Jubilee University National Hospital

The Golden Jubilee University National Hospital is a hospital in Clydebank, near Glasgow, Scotland. It was opened in 1994 and is managed by a Special Health Board appointed by NHS Scotland.

Park Quay

The disused Park Quay or Fulton's Quay (NS 47436 70692) is located on the old Lands of Park, situated on the south bank of the River Clyde in the Parish of Inchinnan, close to Newshot Island and the old Rashielee Quay. A slipway is also part of the infrastructure, giving access to the dock at low tide, both once served by roads running through the Park Estate from the south. It was recorded as Fulton's Quay in 1830, the name of a previous owner of the Park Estate who may have built it prior to 1801. A fixed light was installed at Park Quay in 1869.
