Hospital de Pediatría S.A.M.I.C. "Prof. Dr. Juan P. Garrahan", commonly known as Hospital Garrahan, is a public hospital in Buenos Aires, Argentina, located in the neighborhood of Parque Patricios. Since it opened on 25 August 1987, it has become the leading public, free and high-complexity pediatric hospital in the country. It is a highly specialized medical center, with over 3000 employees, state-of-the-art technology and progressive cares. It is jointly funded by the federal government of Argentina (80%) and by the Buenos Aires City Government (20%). Federal funding, however, has been frozen since 2024, which has ignited a conflict between the government and the hospital staff.

Caseros Prison Demolition Project – 16 Tons
The Caseros Prison Demolition Project — 80,000 Tons, which contains 16 Tons and Aparecidos, is the work of artist Seth Wulsin. It uses the defunct Caseros Prison of Buenos Aires, Argentina and its demolition as raw materials.
Aparecido is the past participle for the Spanish verb aparecer - to appear. Its second meaning is apparition or ghost. It may also refer in an oblique way to Argentina's Dirty War, in which an estimated 30,000 people, "Desaparecidos" were disappeared between 1976 and 1981 by the military junta, many of them thrown from airplanes into the Rio Plate.
Sixteen Tons, the name of a popular song written in the late 1940s, referred to the amount of coal a miner was expected to load in a day, but in this context may refer to the amount of glass broken out through the installation, or de-installation, process.
80,000 tons is the approximate weight of the entire building, and the debris that the demolition produced.

Caseros Prison
The Caseros Prison (Spanish: Cárcel de Caseros) was a panopticon prison in Parque Patricios, a neighborhood in the southern part of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Caseros Prison was conceived by the military dictatorships of the 1960s, originally intended as a short term holding station for prisoners awaiting trial. It was built over the course of almost twenty years, from 1960 until 1979. Finished under the administration of the military junta presided over by dictator Jorge Rafael Videla, Caseros was opened in 1979 to house political prisoners. It was built next to an old prison of the same name, which was originally constructed as an orphanage in the 1880s. In the early 1950s, Juan Perón, cracking down on communists, used the old part to house political prisoners. The prison was closed down in 2001.
