The Alloa Swing Bridge was a railway swing bridge across the River Forth that connected Throsk and Alloa as part of the Alloa Railway. The structure was in use from 1885 until 1968.

Tullibody Inch
Tullibody Inch is an islet in the estuarine waters of the River Forth.
It takes its name from the nearby town of Tullibody, "inch" being from the Scottish Gaelic innis meaning "island" or "meadow".
The island used to be farmland but has become flooded due to mining subsidence. It is now part of the Firth of Forth SSSI, which also includes nearby Alloa Inch and the John Muir Country Park. The Scottish Wildlife Trust owns and manages the island as a nature reserve.

Alloa Inch
Inch or Alloa Inch (Scottish Gaelic: innis, island) is an island in the tidal reaches of the River Forth near Alloa, just before the river opens out into the Firth of Forth.
There is a derelict farmhouse on the island, as the land was farmed in the past. Due to subsidence caused by nearby coal mining, flood defences were breached. The land now consists of reed beds and salt marshes.
The Scottish Wildlife Trust has managed the island as a reserve since 1996. The smaller islet of Tullibody Inch lies just upstream.

Throsk
Throsk (In Scottish Gaelic: Badan Deathach, meaning the thicket among the mist) is a village in the Stirling council area of Scotland. It lies on the A905 road east of Fallin close to the River Forth. The United Kingdom Census 2001 recorded the population as 231.
Throsk was formerly the site of the Royal Navy's Bandeath armaments depot. This closed in 1978 and now serves as an industrial estate owned by the local council. Many of the original munitions storage bunkers remain in situ as does a loading crane beside the River Forth.
There was a rail bridge between Throsk and Alloa sometime called the Alloa Swing Bridge of which some video footage survives.
