Deansgate (ward)

The Deansgate electoral ward of Manchester City Council was created by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England to replace part of the City Centre ward in 2018. Different parts of this ward are represented by different MPs; the majority of the ward is in the Manchester Central constituency but the area north of the railway line through Victoria station is in the Blackley and Broughton constituency.

Sunlight House

Sunlight House is a Grade II listed building in the Art Deco style on Quay Street in Manchester, England. Completed in 1932 for Joseph Sunlight, at 14 storeys it was the tallest building in Manchester, and the top floors of turrets and multiple dormer windows and mansard roofs create a distinctive skyline.

Albert Hall, Manchester

The Albert Hall is a music venue in Manchester, England. Built as a Methodist central hall in 1908 by the architect William James Morley of Bradford and built by J. Gerrard & Sons Ltd of Swinton, it has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade II listed building. The main floor was used as a nightclub from 1999 to 2011. The second floor, the Chapel Hall, unused since 1969, was renovated in 2012–14 for music concerts. The venue hosted a few events towards the end of 2013. It officially reopened on 6 February 2014, with a performance by Anna Calvi.

Manchester Reform Synagogue

The Manchester Reform Synagogue is a Reform Jewish congregation based in Central Manchester, England, in the United Kingdom. The congregation, founded in 1857 as the Manchester Congregation of British Jews, is one of the oldest Reform communities in the United Kingdom, and is a member of the Movement for Reform Judaism. The congregation built a synagogue on Jackson's Row in 1953 and vacated the site in November 2022. The synagogue was subsequently demolished in October 2023. The congregation has been using temporary premises at Manchester University's Chapel on Oxford Road, since November 2022, while it seeks a permanent home.

Manchester Library & Information Service

There are 24 public libraries in Manchester, England, including the famous Central Library in St Peter’s Square. The oldest community library still in use is Levenshulme Library in South Manchester, built in 1903. Levenshulme Library is also a Carnegie library, having been built with money donated by Scottish-American businessman and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, who funded the building of over 2,500 libraries across the world. Two new multimillion-pound libraries have recently opened in North Manchester as part of a major regeneration scheme, including the eco-designed North City Library in Harpurhey. and The Avenue Library and Learning Centre in Higher Blackley.
