Nayarambalam is a suburb of Kochi city and coastal village on Vypin island in the state of Kerala, India. The village is surrounded by Edavanakkad Gram panchayat to the north, Narakkal Gram Panchayat to the south, the Arabian Sea to the west and Veeranpuzha to the east. Nayarambalam lies almost at the center of Vypin Island.

Mulavukad, connue aussi localement sous le nom Bolgatty, est une île et une localité située au nord de la ville de Cochin, district d'Ernakulam dans l'état du Kerala en Inde.
L'île est reliée au continent par trois ponts routiers et deux ponts ferroviaires.
Sa population était de 22 845 habitants en 2001.
Au sud de l'île se trouve le Palais de Bolgatty, construit par les hollandais pour l'administration coloniale, et repris plus tard par les britanniques. C'est une attraction touristique populaire. On trouve également un centre de convention international, ainsi qu'un terrain de golf.

La basilique Notre-Dame-de-Rédemption de Vallarpadam, également église du Saint-Esprit, est une église située sur l’île de Vallarpadam à Cochin en Inde, à laquelle l’Église catholique donne les statuts de basilique mineure et de sanctuaire national. Elle est rattachée à l’archidiocèse de Verapoly. On y vénère une image de Notre-Dame de Rédemption, l’église étant depuis sa création dédiée au Saint-Esprit.
Agriculture and fishing were traditionally the main sources of income for the people, but now most of the people depend on Kochi city, the nearest city on the mainland. There are still many paddy fields and fish ponds especially in the eastern and western areas of the village.
