Shawfield - Izeria

Shawfield is an industrial/commercial area of the Royal Burgh of Rutherglen in South Lanarkshire, Scotland, located to the north of the town centre. It is bordered to the east by the River Clyde, to the north by the Glasgow neighbourhood of Oatlands and the adjacent Richmond Park, to the south-west by Glasgow's Polmadie and Toryglen districts, and to the south-east by Rutherglen's historic Main Street and its Burnhill neighbourhood, although it is separated from these southerly areas by the West Coast Main Line railway tracks and the M74 motorway. A road bridge connects Shawfield to the Dalmarnock, Bridgeton and Glasgow Green areas. Shawfield is a familiar name to many Scottish sports fans, as the stadium of that name is the national venue for greyhound racing and the former home of Clyde F.C.

Shawfield Stadium

Le Shawfield Stadium est un stade accueillant des courses de lévriers construit en 1898 et situé à Rutherglen, à proximité immédiate de Glasgow. Il a longtemps été aussi un stade de football accueillant les matches à domicile de Clyde entre 1898 et 1986. Il a aussi accueilli de nombreuses compétitions de speedway ainsi qu'occasionnellement de la boxe et de l'athlétisme.

Braehead Park

Le Braehead Park, autrefois connu sous le nom d'Hibernian Park, est un ancien stade écossais de football situé dans le quartier des Oatlands, dans la ville de Glasgow. Doté de 4000 places, le stade, inauguré en 1889, est connu pour avoir été l'enceinte à domicile du Glasgow Hibernian ainsi que du Thistle FC.

Commonwealth Arena and Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome

Le Commonwealth Arena and Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, également appelé Emirates Arena, est une aréna et un vélodrome situé dans le quartier de Dalmarnock (en) à Glasgow en Écosse. Construit pour les Jeux du Commonwealth de 2014, il en a accueilli les compétitions de badminton et de cyclisme sur piste. Sportscotland (en) et Scottish Cycling (en) y ont leur siège.
