Hillend Loch Railway Path
The Hillend Loch Railway Path, also known as the Airdrie to Bathgate Railway Path, is a rail trail located in central Scotland. The path is approximately 14 miles (23 km) long and follows the route of the former Bathgate and Coatbridge Railway between Airdrie, North Lanarkshire (55.8662°N 3.9539°W / 55.8662; -3.9539 (Hillend Loch Railway Path, Airdrie trailhead)), and Bathgate, West Lothian (55.8918°N 3.6224°W / 55.8918; -3.6224 (Hillend Loch Railway Path, Bathgate trailhead)). It formed part of National Cycle Route 75 which runs from Clyde to Forth. It is also known as Airdrie to Bathgate Railway Path. The railway reopened in 2010 and the path was relocated to run alongside the railway line.

Black Loch
Le Black Loch est un petit loch et un lac de barrage à la frontière des districts de North Lanarkshire et de Falkirk, à proximité du village de Limerigg.
La surface du Loch Black a été agrandi au début des années 1790 un petit canal creusé sur le côté ouest, de telle sorte que le ruissellement provenant de la mousse puisse alimenter le lac. Un barrage a également été construit pour contenir un plus grand volume d'eau qui était nécessaire pour le canal Monkland à Woodhall. C'est pourquoi ce lac n'est pas seulement la source du north Calder, mais aussi une source majeure de l'approvisionnement en eau pour le canal Monkland et en aval, le canal de Forth & Clyde à Glasgow.
