Diocese of Dunblane
The Diocese of Dunblane or Diocese of Strathearn was one of the thirteen historical dioceses of Scotland, before the abolition of episcopacy in the Scottish Church in 1689. Roughly, it embraced the territories covered by the old earldoms of Strathearn and Menteith, covering the western and central portions of Perthshire. The first record of its existence is a papal bull from 1155 referring to M. de Dunblan. By the episcopate of Bishop Clement, the cathedral was firmly located in Dunblane, Strathearn, Perth and Kinross. The diocese was led by the Bishop of Dunblane.

La tuerie de Dunblane (à environ 10 km au nord de Stirling au Royaume-Uni) perpétrée par Thomas Watt Hamilton, s'est déroulée le 13 mars 1996 dans une école écossaise. Elle a coûté la vie à seize enfants, âgés de quatre à six ans, ainsi qu’à leur institutrice.

Château de Doune
Le château de Doune (en anglais Doune Castle) est un château médiéval situé au cœur de l’Écosse, au confluent de la rivière Teith et de la rivière Forth, non loin du village de Doune, à 13 km au nord-ouest de Stirling. Ce château est également connu pour avoir été un des lieux de tournage de plusieurs fictions, dont Monty Python : Sacré Graal !
