Francis Gymnasium

Le Francis Gymnasium est un gymnase construit dans le style Tudor appartenant au complexe sportif de l'université Washington de Saint-Louis. Il fait partie du Danforth Campus qui est le campus principal de l'université. Comme le Francis Field, il est nommé en hommage à David R. Francis, qui fut notamment président de l'Exposition universelle de 1904 organisée à Saint-Louis. Construit en 1903 pour cet évènement, le Francis Gymnasium est un des sites de compétition durant les Jeux olympiques de 1904. Il accueille les épreuves de boxe et d'escrime. Il est actuellement utilisé par les équipes sportives de l'université.

Shaw Park was founded in 1935 under Mayor Charles A. Shaw. The park was dedicated in 1937 and cost $280,000, with $30,000 coming from the city of Clayton and the rest coming from the federal government.
Shaw Park has an Olympic-sized swimming pool, 11 tennis courts, a baseball and soccer field, volleyball courts, handball courts, a sensory garden, a trail, a playground, and multiple pavilions. It hosts the annual St. Louis Art Fair and Taste of Clayton events.
