Ferryfield House

Ferryfield House is a community hospital in Pilton, Edinburgh, Scotland. It is managed by NHS Lothian.

1. History

The hospital has its origins in the Leith Public Hospital which was designed by James Simpson and opened in 1896. The facility was subsequently renamed the Northern General Hospital. A new hospital, which was commissioned to replace the Northern General Hospital, was procured under a Private Finance Initiative ('PFI') contract in 1993, the first hospital project in Scotland to use this form of procurement. The site had previously been part of City Park, the first home of Livingston F.C. The new hospital was built by James Walker (Leith) Limited at a cost of £2 million and opened in October 1996.

1. Services

Ferryfield House is a 60-bed unit that specialises in short-term and respite care. There are two wards, with one used to treat patients with "dementia and challenging behaviour" and the other for the frail and elderly.

L'Ainsli Park est un stade de football construit en 2008 et situé à Édimbourg. D'une capacité de 3 534 places dont 534 assises, il accueille les matches à domicile de Spartans F.C. (en) et des féminines de Spartans Women. Depuis 2016, l'équipe féminine d'Hibernian Ladies y joue ses matches à domicile, tout comme, depuis 2017, l'équipe d'Edinburgh City, qui joue en League Two.

Le Stade d'Inverleith (en anglais : Inverleith Sports Ground) est un stade de rugby à XV situé à Inverleith, quartier d'Édimbourg, en Écosse. Ce stade a accueilli les rencontres de l'équipe nationale de rugby à XV d'Écosse entre 1899 et 1925. Par ailleurs, Inverleith est toujours utilisé par le club amateur Stewart's Melville RFC.
