The Crossley Heath School is an 11–18 co-educational, grammar school and sixth form with academy status in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England. It was established in 1985 following the amalgamation of Heath Grammar School and Crossley and Porter School. It is part of The Crossley Heath School Academy Trust Limited.

Wainhouse Tower

Wainhouse Tower, sometimes called the "Tower of Spite", is a folly in the parish of King Cross, on the south-west side of Halifax, Calderdale, West Yorkshire, in England. At 275 feet (84 m), it is the tallest structure in Calderdale and the tallest folly in the world, and was erected between 1871 and 1875. The main shaft is octagonal in shape and has a square base and 369 steps leading to the first of two viewing platforms which is open to the public, and a total of 405 to the top viewing platform which is usually closed to the public. The tower is open to the public during bank holidays, and is a Grade II* listed building.

Savile Park, Halifax

Savile Park is a public open space in Halifax in West Yorkshire, England, 1 mile (1.6 km) south west of the town centre. There are fine Victorian mansions around the edge of the park, and the park has given its name to a residential area to the north of the park. Crossley Heath School stands on the western edge of the park, and St Jude's Church, a Grade II listed building designed by William Swinden Barber, stands at the north east corner of the park. The area of the park was historically known as Skircoat Moor or Halifax Moor. The park takes its current name from the Savile family, which held land in Halifax for centuries and in March 1866 sold land to be set apart as a recreation ground and to be called the Savile Park, on condition that "it remain unenclosed for perpetuity, and that the council do something about smoke abatement".

King Cross

King Cross, originally the site of an ancient stone cross, is an ecclesiastical parish created in 1845 in the Metropolitan Borough of Calderdale, West Yorkshire, England. Part of the Diocese of Wakefield, it is located along the top of a ridge above the town of Halifax. The A58 road into Lancashire divides here, with one fork, the A646, branching off towards Burnley via Hebden Bridge and the other going to Littleborough via Sowerby Bridge. During the English Civil War, when Halifax was a Royalist stronghold, King Cross was a key outpost, with the Parliamentarians holding parts of the Calder Valley.
