Soubès is a commune in the Hérault department in Occitanie in southern France, situated on a hill near the confluence of the Brèze and Suberbet rivers.
The village dates from the 12th Century, and even today only one main street, the Coural, is suitable for motor traffic. The ancient city walls are visible in many places. The village has two châteaux, a church, two schools, a Mairie, a café, a small post office and a general store. A modern sports and social centre lies just outside the village proper, the other side of the D25 road to Ganges.

Saint-Michel de Grandmont Priory is a former monastery of the Order of Grandmont in the commune of Saint-Privat, in Hérault, France. The priory is located in a wild area at the heart of an oak forest, about 10 km from the town of Lodève.
Established in 1128, it is a listed national monument and is one of the best-preserved of the 160 Grandmontine monasteries. The Priory is now maintained by “Les Amis du Prieure Saint Michel de Grandmont”, a non-profit-making association.
