West Ecclesfield ward—which includes the districts of Burncross, Grenoside, High Green—is one of the 28 electoral wards in City of Sheffield, England. It is located in the northern part of the city and covers an area of 4.83 square miles (3,090 acres; 12.5 km2) in the western part of Ecclesfield Parish. The population of this ward in 2011 was 17,699 people in 7,675 households. West Ecclesfield was one of the six wards that made up the former Sheffield Hillsborough Parliamentary constituency. In their final report, the Boundary Commission for England recommended that West Ecclesfield form part of a reformed Penistone Parliamentary constituency. West Ecclesfield is composed of a number of polling districts. There are six in total; Angram Bank, Burncross, Grenoside one and two, Mortomley and Wortley Road.

St Mark's Church, Grenoside

St. Mark's Church is an Anglican parish church in Grenoside, South Yorkshire, England. It is in the Deanery of Ecclesfield, and was built in 1884. Regular Sunday services are at 10:00am. Birley Old Hall

Birley Old Hall is a small English country house in the Birley Edge area of the City of Sheffield, England. The hall stands in an exposed situation at almost 200 metres (660 ft) above sea level on Edge Lane, some 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) north-west of the city centre. It has been designated a Grade II listed building by Historic England, as has The Falconry, a pavilion in the garden.

Yewlands Academy

Yewlands Academy (formerly known as Yewlands Secondary School and Yewlands Technology College) is a secondary school with academy status located in the Grenoside area of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. Until March 2018, it was managed by the Wakefield City Academies Trust. Following the collapse of the trust, it was taken over by the Brigantia Learning Trust who manage the nearby schools Hinde House School and Longley Park Sixth Form. The school was originally located on three sites; Elm, Yew and Willow. The school was rebuilt as part of the Building Schools for the Future programme and reopened in September 2009. The school has under 900 students.
