District métropolitain de Rochdale

Le district métropolitain de Rochdale (en anglais : Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale) est un district métropolitain du Grand Manchester, en Angleterre. Il porte le nom de sa principale ville, Rochdale, et son territoire comprend également celles de Middleton, Heywood, Littleborough et Milnrow, ainsi que le village de Wardle. Le district a été créé le 1er avril 1974 par le Local Government Act 1972. Il est issu de la fusion de six anciens districts : le county borough de Rochdale, les districts municipaux de Heywood et Middleton et les districts urbains de Littleborough, Milnrow et Wardle.

Its largest town is Rochdale and the wider borough covers other outlying towns and villages, including Heywood, Littleborough, Middleton & Milnrow. It is the ninth-largest district by population in Greater Manchester with a population of 235,561 in 2024.

The former Oldham Joint Stock Bank, currently operating as a branch of HSBC, is a Grade II listed building located on Yorkshire Street in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, England. Built in 1895, it is a prominent example of Neoclassical bank architecture from the late Victorian period.

Rochdale Town Centre tram stop

Rochdale Town Centre is a tram stop and the terminus on the Oldham and Rochdale Line (ORL) of Greater Manchester's light-rail Metrolink system. It was constructed as part of Phase 3b of the system's expansion, and is located on Smith Street, adjacent to Rochdale Interchange and Number One Riverside, in central Rochdale, England. It opened on 31 March 2014.

Rochdale Interchange is a transport hub located in the town of Rochdale in Greater Manchester, England, run by the Bee Network (TfGM) It was opened in November 2013, integrating a new bus station with Rochdale Town Centre tram stop. It has the following facilities: public toilets, disabled toilets, cycle parking, convenience store, taxi rank, cash machine, and a TFGM Travelshop.

Rochdale Riverside

Rochdale Riverside is a retail and leisure complex in the town of Rochdale, England. The first phase of the development was competed in April 2020, during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The development covers 200,000 square feet (18,600 square metres) of floor space, including a 50,000 square-foot Marks & Spencer and a six-screen Reel cinema. There is also a 520-unit car park. The scheme cost £80 million. The complex also includes an arcade and a mini golf course. The development sits opposite Number One Riverside, a multi-use public building that opened in 2013 which houses council offices for Rochdale, its central library, and its public information hub.
