Château de Craignish

Le Château de Craignish (en anglais Craignish Castle), est situé sur la péninsule de Craignish (en), dans l'Argyll, à l'ouest de l'Écosse. Il est classé monument historique de catégorie B. Le château actuel comprend une maison-tour du XVIe siècle, résidence de la famille Campbell of Craignish (en) and Jura. Au XIXe siècle, il est vendu à la famille Trench-Gascoigne de Parlington Hall (en), dans le Yorkshire, qui y fait construire une importante extension. À la fin du XXe siècle, la maison est restaurée et une partie de l'extension du XIXe siècle est démolie. Il était auparavant connu sous le nom de Loch Beag.

Craignish Castle

Craignish Castle is located on the Craignish peninsula in Argyll, western Scotland and is a category B listed building. The present castle includes a 16th-century tower house, the seat of the Campbell family of Craignish and Jura. In the 19th century, it was sold to the Trench-Gascoigne family of Parlington Hall, Yorkshire, who built a large extension to the tower. In the later 20th century, the house was restored and parts of the 19th-century extension were demolished. It has previously been known as Loch Beag.
