It is a multiple span 100-foot-long (30 m), stone arch bridge with three spans, constructed in 1841. It crosses Maiden Creek. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The district encompasses 8 acres along Old Philadelphia Pike and contains fifteen contributing buildings representing the architectural history of a small commercial center from 1790 to 1930. The village progressed from a single farmstead to a commercial center serving the surrounding agricultural community before declining with the rise of automobile transportation. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 7, 2001.
