Sheikhupura District is a district within the Lahore Division of Punjab, Pakistan. Sheikhupura is the headquarters of the district. According to the 1998 census of Pakistan, the district had a population of 3,321,029 of which 25.45% were urban. In 2005 one of its subdivisions was split off to form the new Nankana Sahib District.
According to the 2017 Census of Pakistan, most populous cities of the district are Sheikhupura, Muridke, Kot Abdul Malik and Ferozewala. All these four cities are listed in the List of most populous cities in Pakistan.

Sheikhupura, also known as Qila Sheikhupura, is a city in the Pakistani province of Punjab. It was founded by the Mughal emperor Jahangir in 1607 as a citadel, west of Lahore. Sheikhupura is the 10th-largest city in Punjab, and 15th-largest in Pakistan by population, serving as the headquarters of Sheikhupura District. The city is an industrial centre and satellite town, and is located about 38 km northwest of Lahore. It also borders Sialkot, Gujranwala, Nankana Sahib and Kasur districts of Punjab, Pakistan.

Sheikhupura Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in the city of Sheikhupura in Punjab province of Pakistan. It is currently used mostly for cricket matches. The stadium can accommodate 15,000 spectators and hosted its first Test match in 1996, when Pakistan played Zimbabwe. This was followed by another Test a year later, between Pakistan and South Africa.
Sheikhupura Stadium has hosted two one-day internationals so far, both between Pakistan and Zimbabwe, both teams winning a match apiece.

Hiran Minar is an early 17th-century Mughal-era complex in Sheikhupura, in the Pakistani province of Punjab. It was built at the site of a game reserve in memory of Mughal Emperor Jahangir's beloved pet antelope, Mansraj. The emperor is remembered for his fondness of nature, and the complex embodies the Mughal relationship between humans, pets and hunting.
The landmark was proclaimed protected under the Ancient Monuments Reservation Act, 1904 in 1916. The Hiran Minar and Tank Sheikhupura are also on the Provisional List of UNESCO World Heritage.
