Birkenhead Dock railway station

Birkenhead Dock railway station was situated in Birkenhead, Wirral, England. The station opened as the eastern terminus of the Hoylake Railway in 1866. With the opening of the horse drawn Woodside and Birkenhead Dock Street Tramway in 1873, the station probably became the world's first tram to train interchange station. The station was closed to passengers in 1888 being superseded by Birkenhead Docks railway station which was later named Birkenhead North. The former passenger station was renamed Birkenhead Dock Goods, with the platforms still in existence in 1937, with the goods station closing the following year. The site was used as railway sidings until the 1990s.

Weatherhead High School

Weatherhead High School is a single sex girls' academy school with mixed Sixth Form, located in Merseyside, England in the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral. In 2003, the school relocated from three separate sites around the Wallasey area to a new purpose-built state of the art site on Breck Road. The school has over 1500 pupils on roll, ranging from 11 to 18. There is a mixed Sixth Form of up to 400 students. The school has held the Sportsmark Award and the Artsmark Gold Award for several years,. Former students include Katie Petty-Saphon and Natasha Jonas.

Birkenhead North TMD

Birkenhead North TMD is a traction maintenance depot, which is owned by Network Rail and operated by Stadler. Located opposite Birkenhead North railway station, it is currently responsible for servicing and stabling Merseyrail's fleet of class 777 electric multiple units and also services and stables Transport for Wales' fleet of 5 Class 230 diesel-battery electric multiple units. Birkenhead North's current depot code is BD, having been changed from BN in 1976.
