Palmerston Park
Palmerston Park is a football stadium on Terregles Street in Dumfries, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It is the home ground of Scottish League One club Queen of the South, who have played there since 1919. South of Scotland League club Heston Rovers have shared Palmerston since 2013. The stadium has a capacity of 8,690 of which 3,377 are seats.

HM Prison Dumfries
HM Prison Dumfries services the courts of Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. The establishment serves as a local community prison that holds adult and under 21 males who are remanded in custody for trial and those convicted but remanded for reports. The prison was built in 1883 by Thomas Bernard Collinson and extended with additions in 1988. The old building is a Category B Listed Building. It is one of only three purpose built 19th century prisons still in use, the others being HM Prison Perth and HM Prison Barlinnie.

Nithsdale Amateur Rowing Club (stylised as Nithsdale ARC) is a rowing club on the River Nith, based at Nith Avenue, Dumfries, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. The club was founded in 1865 and continues to be active to the present day. The club is affiliated to Scottish Rowing.
The club hosts an annual Regatta in June and enjoys close ties with other amateur Rowing organisations such as: Strathclyde Park Rowing Club, Stirling Rowing Club and the now defunct Crichton University campus boat club.
