It is one of multiple touristic attractions inaugurated under the leadership of longtime mayor Ramón Luis Rivera and is named after former Governor of Puerto Rico Luis A. Ferré. Plaza del Sol is a 728,546-square-foot regional mall located in the city of Bayamón, Puerto Rico. The mall is anchored by a Caribbean Cinemas, Walmart, Burlington, H&M, Dave & Buster's and The Home Depot. The mall was opened in 1998; it was later acquired in 2005 by DDR Corp. out of a $1.15 billion portfolio deal with Caribbean Property Group, which included the mall. And is now owned by Curzon Puerto Rico.

Puerto Rico National Cemetery

Puerto Rico National Cemetery is a United States national cemetery located in the city of Bayamón, in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. It encompasses 108.2 acres of land, and at the end of 2005, had 44,722 interments. Until 2021, it was the only United States National Cemetery in Puerto Rico. A second United States National Cemetery was built in Morovis, Puerto Rico because the cemetery in Bayamón has reached its capacity.

The Río Hondo is a river of Puerto Rico. The river lends its name to a neighborhood, the Rio Hondo neighborhood, or "Urbanizacion Rio Hondo", also in Bayamón, and to the neighborhood's mall, Plaza Rio Hondo.

Colegio De La Salle

Colegio De La Salle is a Lasallian educational institution located in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. It is the only De La Salle institution open on the island. The other was located in Añasco but it is now closed. Established at the Riverview suburb in Bayamón, Puerto Rico on August 15, 1962, the institution has been in service for over 50 years. Initially, the institution merely offered middle-through-high school education, but has since expanded to a K-12 curriculum.

History

In 1991, the museum was inaugurated with the purpose of preserving and disseminating art to the population of Puerto Rico, the collections were donated by Amelia Agustini. In 2003, the museum obtained more works of art from Puerto Rican artists. In 2010, the museum closed temporarily for renovations. In 2012, the renovations were completed and the museum reopened.

Collections

The museum contains works of abstract and contemporary art, as well as museum exhibits explaining the beginnings of art in Puerto Rico. The museum contains photographs and sculptures. The museum has contained art pieces by artists Arnaldo Roche Rabell, Lope Max Díaz, Cecilio Colón Guzmán, Isabel Bernal, Antonio Navia, Linda Sánchez Pintor and Alana Iturralde León.
