Pontefract Monkhill is the busiest railway station in the market town of Pontefract, in West Yorkshire, England. It lies on the Pontefract Line, 14 miles (23 km) south-east of Leeds. The station is managed by Northern Trains, which also provides train services along with Grand Central. The other stations in the town are Pontefract Tanshelf and Pontefract Baghill.

The Church of All Saints in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, England is an active Church of England parish church in the archdeaconry of Pontefract and the Diocese of Leeds. The church consists of two structures, an outer church constructed in the 14th and 15th century and ruined in the English Civil War and a smaller inner church completed in the late 1960s. The church has been Grade II* listed since 29 July 1950. The church is one of two Anglican churches in the town centre; the other being St Giles'.

Pontefract Priory was a Cluniac monastery dedicated to St. John the Evangelist, founded about 1090 by Robert de Lacy, 2nd Baron of Pontefract, and located in Yorkshire, England. It existed until the dissolution of the monasteries. The church and buildings have been completely destroyed, but the site is still indicated by the name of Monk-hill.
