Magenta () is a coastal location of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. It is part of the Central Coast Council local government area, and contains a significant portion of the Wyrrabalong National Park. Magenta was officially recognised as a locality in 1991. Previously it was the location for rutile mining and as the garbage tip for The Entrance, New South Wales.

The Wyrrabalong National Park is a coastal national park that is located on the Central Coast of New South Wales, in eastern Australia. The 620-hectare national park consists of two sections; the northern section consists of approximately 480 hectares and covers a substantial area of the peninsula between The Entrance and Norah Head as well as Terilbah and Pelican Islands within Tuggerah Lake. The southern section consists of about 120 hectares of the coast, from Shelly Beach south to Forresters Beach. The park is also noted for containing the last significant coastal rainforest on the Central Coast.
Most of the park lies in the Tuggerah Important Bird Area, identified as such by BirdLife International because of its importance for a variety of water and woodland birds.

HMAS Paterson was a wooden auxiliary minesweeper operated by the Royal Australian Navy during World War II. She was built in 1919–20 by T.F. Morrison, Sinclair & Company at Balmain. The ship operated as a coastal steamer and was requisitioned by the RAN in 1941. She was returned to her owners on 26 November 1945 before sinking near The Entrance, New South Wales on 11 June 1951.
The location is traversed south–north by Wilfred Barrett Drive linking The Entrance and Toukley. The road was designated part of the Central Coast Highway in 2006.
