King's Park Secondary School, on Fetlar Drive, in the King's Park area (or specifically in the Simshill area) of south Glasgow, is a Scottish non-denominational state school. It was established in 1962.

Simshill
Simshill is an area of Glasgow, Scotland. It is on the South Side of the city, approximately 3.7 miles (6.0 km) south of the city centre. Adjacent areas are Cathcart, King's Park, Croftfoot and Castlemilk. Linn Park is to the south-west of Simshill.
The area had a high concentration of residents of Irish heritage in the postwar period, as members of the city's Irish community moved out to the suburbs from the inner city Gorbals.
Kings Park Secondary School is in the immediate area. Two other primary schools are close by: St Fillan's and St Mirin's.

Cathcart Castle
Cathcart Castle was a 15th-century castle, located in what is now Linn Park in the Cathcart area of southern Glasgow, Scotland. The castle was abandoned in the 18th century, and the remaining ruins were pulled down in 1980, leaving only foundations visible.

King's Park railway station
King's Park railway station is a railway station serving the King's Park and Simshill areas of Glasgow, Scotland. It is located on the Newton branch of the Cathcart Circle Line, which was electrified by British Railways in 1962. Services are provided by ScotRail on behalf of Strathclyde Partnership for Transport.
The Up (Kirkhill bound) platform is signalled for bi-directional running to enable Up trains to depart in the Down direction. In the past this has been used for trains from Langside to depart to Muirend on the Neilston Line. Nowadays trains only depart the 'wrong way' from this platform during times of disruption.
At time of electrification there was also an Up Loop, used for stabling Football Specials serving events at the nearby Hampden Park football stadium, although by the mid 1970s this had been lifted.
