The 3000 Club

The 3000 Club started as a Phoenix-based charity which works with food banks in Arizona in order to reduce food waste. The 3000 Club's main program is known as Market on the Move, although the organization provides other services for Arizona communities. Their previous mission statement "Providing life saving fresh fruits and vegetables to impoverished families" has been changed to "nothing useful should end up in a landfill." Goals are aimed at improving the community, such as preventing 30,000,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables from being wasted each year, refurbishing computers and electronics for educational use, redistributing useful medical supplies into 3rd world countries, working with same-minded organizations who believe there is too much waste.

Rattlesnake Bridge

Rattlesnake Bridge in Tucson, Arizona, in the United States, is a 280-foot-long footbridge over Broadway Boulevard between Iron Horse Park and Aviation Bikeway. Designed for the use of pedestrians and cyclists, the crossing is also called Diamondback Bridge or Snake Bridge and looks like one of the area's endemic rattlesnakes. An artist named Simon Donovan designed the bridge, which cost $2.5 million to build in 2002. The snake's eyes originally lit up at night, and the south end of the bridge has a huge rattle that makes a sound as travelers exit. The interior of the bridge is lit at night. The bridge won a design award from the U.S. Federal Highway Administration.

Armory Park Historic Residential District

Armory Park Historic Residential District is a historic district in Tucson, Arizona. It was listed on the NRHP in 1976 and the district boundaries were increased in 1996. Part of the eastern section of the Armory Park Historic Residential District was first developed as company housing for employees of the Southern Pacific Railroad. When the railroad moved out of this area and combined with Union Pacific Railroad, the houses were auctioned off and moved to other areas. In 2000, a solar-powered housing development, known as Armory Park del Sol, was built here. Developer John Wesley Miller named the streets in the subdivision after historic people and events of the area, referring to both railroads that were important to its history. This subdivision and its locally themed street names were featured in a December 2013 "Street Smarts" column, published in the Arizona Daily Star newspaper.

Julian-Drew Building

The Julian-Drew Building is a historic building in Tucson, Arizona. It was built in 1937 by A.C. Rosewell for businessmen William Armine Julian and W. E. Drew. Tenants included a car dealership called the Tucson Overland Company and a hotel called the Lewis Hotel. The building has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since March 29, 1996.

Skrappy's was a youth-run, youth-oriented performing arts and after-school center as well as an all-ages music venue, performance space and community hub in downtown Tucson, Arizona. It was billed as a drug-free, positive environment that encouraged expression and youth culture. It offered live music, and classes in music, film and theater, break dancing, visual art, printing, karate, literacy, GPS mapping, sewing and fashion design photography, writing, publishing, activism, organizing, civic engagement and empowerment.

The Rialto Theatre is a performance theater and concert venue located on Congress Street in downtown Tucson, Pima County, southern Arizona. The cinema−theater and surrounding Rialto Building commercial block were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
