Hazelwood Hall, sometimes spelt Hazlewood, is a nineteenth-century country house set in 18.5 acres of woodland and gardens in the village of Silverdale, Lancashire, England, 8.5 miles (13.7 km) north of Lancaster. The building was converted into holiday flats in 2006.

Silverdale, Lancashire

Silverdale is a village and civil parish within the City of Lancaster district of Lancashire, England. The village stands on Morecambe Bay, near the border with Cumbria, 4.5 miles (7 km) north west of Carnforth and 8.5 miles (14 km) of Lancaster. The parish had a population of 1,519 recorded in the 2011 census. Silverdale forms part of the Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape (formerly AONB). The RSPB's Leighton Moss nature reserve is close to the village train station. The National Trust owns several pieces of land in the area. The former Tarmac-owned Trowbarrow quarry is now a SSSI and popular climbing location. The Lancashire Coastal Way footpath goes from Silverdale to Freckleton, and the Cumbria Coastal Way from Silverdale to Gretna. It is served by nearby Silverdale railway station on the line from Lancaster to Barrow in Furness.

Silverdale Hoard

The Silverdale Hoard is a collection of over 200 pieces of silver jewellery and coins discovered near Silverdale, Lancashire, England, in September 2011. The items were deposited together in and under a lead container buried about 16 inches (41 cm) underground which was found in a field by a metal detectorist. It is believed to date to around AD 900, a time of intense conflict between the Anglo-Saxons and the Danish settlers of northern England. The hoard is one of the largest Viking hoards ever discovered in the UK. It has been purchased by Lancashire Museums Service and has been displayed at Lancaster City Museum and the Museum of Lancashire in Preston. It is particularly significant for its inclusion of a coin stamped with the name of a previously unknown Viking ruler.

St John's Church, Silverdale

St John's Church is in Emesgate Lane, Silverdale, Lancashire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Tunstall, the archdeaconry of Lancaster, and the diocese of Blackburn. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. It is notable for the high quality of the stone carving in the interior.

Lindeth Tower

Lindeth Tower is a Victorian folly in Silverdale, Lancashire, England. It is an embattled square tower of three storeys. It was built in 1842 by Henry Paul Fleetwood, a distant relative of Peter Hesketh-Fleetwood, the founder of Fleetwood. A slate plaque bears the wording "Erected 1842 by H.P. Fleetwood Esq". Elizabeth Gaskell stayed in the tower in the 1840s and 1850s and her novel Ruth was written there. Lindeth Tower is a Grade II listed building.
