Byker

Byker is a district in the east of the city and metropolitan borough of Newcastle upon Tyne, in the county of Tyne and Wear, England. Home to the Byker Wall estate, made famous by TV series Byker Grove, Byker's population was recorded at 12,206 in the 2011 census. Byker is bordered by Heaton to the north and by Shieldfield to the north east. Until 1974 it was in Northumberland.

St. Peters was a railway station on the Riverside Branch, which ran between Newcastle and Willington Quay. The station was opened to passengers on 1 May 1879 by the North Eastern Railway. It was situated adjacent to Glasshouse Street off Walker Road.

St. Anthonys railway station

St. Anthonys was a railway station on the Riverside Branch, which ran between Byker and Willington Quay. The station served Walker in Newcastle upon Tyne. The station was opened to passengers on 1 May 1879 by the North Eastern Railway. It was situated on Walker Road near Belmont Street. Although the station had no goods facilities, there were sidings to the east of the station that served Locke and Blackett's lead works.

A186 road (England)

The A186 is a road in Tyne and Wear, England. It runs between the A1 Junction 75, and the eastern end of the A69 to the A192 in Whitley Bay. It follows the old A69 into Newcastle-upon-Tyne city centre.

Newcastle Stadium

Newcastle Stadium is a greyhound racing and former motorcycle speedway stadium, located on The Fossway, Byker, Newcastle. Racing at the stadium takes place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The circumference of the greyhound track is 415 metres. From 1929 until mid-2022, speedway racing took place at the stadium. The stadium used to be known as Brough Park until it changed its name to Newcastle Stadium and is now owned by the Arena Racing Company.
