Il correspond à un vicus gallo-romain mentionné sur la carte de Peutinger, mais oublié du Moyen Âge au XVIIIe siècle. Ce site a fait l'objet de plusieurs campagnes de fouilles, mais il est aujourd'hui entièrement rural.
