Dacre Beck - Izeria

Dacre Beck is a small river in Cumbria, England. Dacre Beck rises on the north side of Gowbarrow Fell and flows north past Ulcat Row, picking up streams from Lowthwaite and Matterdale End, traversing a valley between Great Mell Fell and Little Mell Fell, before changing its course to eastward at Thackthwaite. The beck collects more streams at Hutton, one of which comes south from Berrier past Beckces, near to Penruddock. From here, Dacre Beck flows past the ancient settlement of Dacre. The beck is a tributary of the River Eamont, which it joins at Dalemain near Stainton. Dacre Beck is a Celtic river name meaning the trickling one.

Barton is a hamlet in the civil parish of Barton and Pooley Bridge, in Westmorland and Furness, Cumbria, England. It lies about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) to the north east of Pooley Bridge, east of the River Eamont and west of the B5320 road from Pooley Bridge to Eamont Bridge. The parish, which includes Barton and the larger settlement of Pooley Bridge, was renamed from "Barton" to "Barton and Pooley Bridge" on 1 April 2019, and had a population of 238 at the 2011 Census.

St Michael's Church, Barton

St Michael's Church is in the village of Barton, Cumbria, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Penrith, the archdeaconry of Carlisle, and the diocese of Carlisle. Its benefice is united with those of St Paul, Pooley Bridge, St Peter, Martindale, and St Martin, Martindale. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building. It stands in a circular churchyard, and possesses the only central Norman tower on a medieval church in Cumbria.

Stainton is a village near the A66, in the parish of Dacre, in the Westmorland and Furness district, in the English county of Cumbria. It is a few miles away from the market town of Penrith. It is in the parish of Dacre, although it is larger than Dacre. It has a Methodist church and a primary school. In 2019 the built-up area had an estimated population of 758. In 1870-72 the township had a population of 330.
